Lots going on lately. Just recently got my dad’s rear rack back from paint and it looks amazing!!!

check out the awesome mtb braze ons I used for the rear attachment points!

I am pretty pleased at how class act paint’s powder job came out and I think my dad will have many adventures on this in the near future. Up next I have three racks I am super psyched to build!
Doug Sproston is building our great friend Ben a custom singlespeed do-it-all bike and he has commissioned me to build the rear rack. Kind of a utilitarian rack with myrtlewood inlay on top cnc’ed with my logo! It’s already coming along great and can’t wait to get it to Ben in his new hometown of NYC. I am also building a couple porteur racks for some long distance folks Fred in PA and Sepehr in SF. Fred has an awesome Kogswell P/R with that great P/R fork and Sepehr has an awesome lugged fuji around town bike. Hope all is well with everyone and look forward to updates soon!

It’s been a while….

but I am still alive and still producing…slowly. Things are picking up now that cyclocross season is long behind us and winter is almost over! I am working on a full set of racks for my dad’s custom Sanner touring bike

I also did a prototype for an adjustable porteur rack. My wife was the guinea pig

Lots of weekend epic riding has been happening with the occassional “rip your legs off” early morning training ride. Road season is upon us and I am taking advantage!
Oh and we also got another family member. Her name is Bella

Look forward to more photos especially of some painted racks as I am getting a new camera soon.

Benji Wagner and Readymade magazine

My friend Benji Wagner has been hard at work all summer shooting photos of many things. He has updated his site and low and behold I made it on there! He did a bunch of photos for an article coming out in Readymade magazine about local framebuilders. I will not be in the article as it’s focusing on bicycle frames and not racks but I was very pleased to be in the company of these amazing builders. I hope to one day be as amazing at my work as they are…

Now that I have my own blog I can post the overdue pictures of my first rack to come out of the shop

I built this for my Hufnagel cross/road bike. Jordan was able to get a braze on on the back of the fork crown so I could make a custom mount for the rack to the fork.
I also custom carved the fork eyelet mounts out of downtube cable guides and they look really nice up close and in person.

This mini porteur rack measures 32cm across and is perfect with the road drops on the bike. No pictures of the painted version yet because I am internet lazy but it is a cool metallic grey to match the bike.
